Pasteurization Process:

  1. Milk Intake: Milk enters the balance tank, where levels are controlled.
  2. Heating and Regeneration: Cold milk (4°C) is preheated to 60°C in the regeneration section by absorbing heat from pasteurized milk.
  3. Final Heating: Preheated milk is further heated to 72–75°C in the heating section using hot water.
  4. Holding Time: The milk is held at the target temperature for 16–20 seconds to eliminate microorganisms.
  5. Cooling: Pasteurized milk is cooled in two stages—first by recovering heat in the regeneration section, then further cooled to 4°C using ice water.
