A candle filter is a crucial and widely used piece of equipment in various industries for separating solid particles from liquids and gases. Structure of a Candle Filter

A candle filter consists of multiple filter candles housed within a chamber. These filter candles are usually cylindrical and made from porous materials such as ceramics, metal, or polymers. The tiny pores in the candles capture solid particles and prevent them from passing through.

How a Candle Filter Works

1. Fluid Inlet: The contaminated fluid (liquid or gas) enters the filter chamber from one side.
2. Filtration Process: The fluid passes through the fine pores of the filter candles.
3. Particle Retention: Solid particles larger than the pore size are trapped on the candle’s surface or inside the pores.
4. Clean Fluid Outlet: The purified fluid, free of solid particles, exits from the other side of the chamber.
